David C. Hutchinson has been a civil trial lawyer with this law firm since 1975, and has been certified as a trial specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy since 1991. By invitation, in 2001 he became a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and in 2006 he became an Advocate member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
He specializes in the handling of all types of civil professional liability, general liability, insurance, property damage, and personal injury claims, as well as licensing matters involving professionals.
Licensed in Minnesota and Wisconsin, Mr. Hutchinson is a veteran of many jury trials and has also argued cases before the Minnesota Court of Appeals, the Minnesota Supreme Court, and the United States Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
A native of Jackson, Minnesota, Mr. Hutchinson graduated from Morningside College in 1971 and William Mitchell College of Law in 1975. He is a member of the Ramsey County, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and American Bar Associations, Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association (MDLA), and Defense Research Institute (DRI).
Mr. Hutchinson served on the Board of Directors of the MDLA from 1986-1990 and the Minnesota Society of Hospital Attorneys from 1988-1993. He is a former member of the Douglas K. Amdahl Inns of Court (1997-99). He served on the Board of Directors of Creative Dispute Resolution (CDR), a non-profit corporation created by the Minnesota Defense and Trial Lawyers Associations. He has been listed in the Best Lawyers in America since 1995.
